Very, very effective

In my application this product worked exactly as advertised. My subsurface is clay, and I was careful to insert the item so that it had firm contact with the surrounding soil. My mole infestation, which had persisted through the use of poisons, mechanical "traps", castor oil sprays, grub treatments, chewing gum, and whatever else I could think of, disappeared within 6 weeks and never came back.

I'm submitting this product review because this is one of the simplest, most effective items I've ever stumbled across. I went online to purchase another one (for the back yard), saw the negative reviews, and had to submit an opposing opinion.

WORKS WONDERS

I bought this for my husband in December, we put it in December 25 (we have an acre for our back yard) with about 40 mole holes....the ground has been freezing on and off, and we put one in the middle of an old "hole".... Takes 3 D batteries and believe it or not the thing is STILL vibrating (sounds kind of irritating if your close) but who cares....beats the back yard looking like a new cemetery. NO NEW HOLES...you could chew more "Juicy Fruit" which the kids love to help out with for our small front yard, but that only lasts you about 3 weeks....I"m buying another for the front yard!

works best after extermination

I have purchased 2 mole chasers, which haved solved my gopher problem in that area of the yard. Using them alone was not sufficient to encourage the rodents to leave. However, if I set them up just after gassing the gophers then each unit prevented re-infestation for a radius of ~100 feet in adobe soil.
