"Never Give a Saga an Even Break"

Mel Brooks and company offer an endless supply of sight gags, one-liners and social commentary in this classic sagebrush satire. The priceless rapport between Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder guarantees repeat viewings. Harvey Korman lost his "almost-certain Academy Award nomination" as the villainous Hedley Lamarr, but Madeline Kahn received Oscar acknowledgment for her Marlene Dietrich parody. In terms of sheer laugh content, "Blazing Saddles" survives as Brooks' finest hour - political correctness be damned.

Great Movie!

I think this movie is one of the best Mel Brooks movies ever made. It's a great comedy that is not politically correct and I love that. He's not afraid to push the envelope with his movies. They have moments that just make you blush. I also recommend his movie History of the World Part I. Great great movie!

Classic reborn

I got this disk as one of the free movies that was in the promotion for getting a player. Turned out to be a great selection.

I finally watched it after it sitting on my shelf for the last few months or better.

Great quality transfer, I was pretty surprised that they did as good as they did with such and OLD movie. I'll give them some good points for taking the time to transfer it to HD format.

I'd give such an old movie:
HD quality: 4 star, they could have cleaned up some of the stuff in the frames. hardly any grain in dark areas though.
Audio, well I didn't really notice all that much, granted this is a very old movie so it's not like full surround sound was all that big at that time.

Work,work,work,Great Blu-Ray title from Warner Bros,gets' a even break!!!

If you're a blazing Saddles/Mel Brooks fan and have a Blu-Ray player than this is great purchase,great picture,sound,and extras(the same ones that appear on the 30th anniversary DVD I presume)!!! A solid Blu Ray release from Warner Bros!!! Absolote classic comedy!!! This saga sure did get an even break on Blu-Ray Disc!!! I was lucky and got this on sale for ten bones brand new!!! a seventies comedy classic!!! Recommended!!! A+ Two Thumbs up!!!

A1 movie some scenes did not transfer well to the blue ray. But overall good. Nice extra features
