highly recommended

Quality work with a quality product...

I use this makita to buff out my cars. For the past 3 years I was using a dual action polisher, which did a fabulous job. However, it took forever to do one body panel, and if any paint imperfection was deeper than a swirl, it had a difficult time removing it.

The makita is fast, durable, and very well made. Knowing that a rotary can easily ruin your cars finish I went at it very slow to begin with. The variable speed clutch allows you to slowly start spinning the head when you start as opposed to the machine ramping up to 1500 rpm right away. The bale handle makes for easy operation, and the entire unit weighed less than I had initially thought.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. The storage bag is top notch as well. I came away very happy with the entire process, from order, to shipping and handling, it all went very smooth.

Makita Sander/Polisher

I am a 71 year old woman, and yet I find this product very easy to use. I haven't used the sander feature; mainly the polisher, but it does a great job. I am very pleased with it and would highly recommend Makita products.

Great Dual Purpose tool

this tool is great for both sanding and polishing. While I'm just a hobbyist, the 9227cx3 has made me very happy. It has good low end torque so it keeps its speed steady even at low speed under load.

Can't touch It

I Looked at many before buying this one for myself. I know several folks in the paint and body business and they own a variety of buffers..but this one seemed to be the "standard: for getting things done. I went to my local shop and they wanted me to go Dewalt or Porter Cable..but still did not discount the price very much....When I saw this Makita could not believe the model and price. My Local Makita guy said "can't touch " the price on amazon. The product was as advertised and works great...I have used it on several projects and my own 63 impala, 2003 gmc truck....No complaints. Like all of my purchases from amazon great service and shipping.
