Hooked on SACD

I bought this CDP from BestBuy nine months ago to test the SACD waters. I figured I could always take the thing back to BB if I didn't like it. But once I got it home and popped in Rudy Van Gelder's "Jazz After Midnight" SACD I was totally addicted! The sound is soooo much more spacious and detailed than standard CDs. Although I have a very good 5.1 HT system I prefer the 595 in my dedicated 2 channel home office set up. All SACDs (even surround) offer excellent two channel reproduction so I programmed the 595 to default to two channel. The only problem with buying this unit is you may not want to go back to regular CDs. Thank goodness Amazon has a huge selection of SACDs as I now refuse to feed this machine anything else. A fine CDP for less money than some audiofiles spend on a set of cables, so how can you go wrong?

Music in the air

Purchased this for my husband as a gift. He loves music and this plays all his cd's. the other one he had skipped certain cd's. No problem with this one.

Nice deck

Sony cd deck shipped extra fast and was well packaged. I connected it to my ancient Lafayette receiver and Realistic speakers and sound reproduction is excellent, very clean with fine frequency response. Machine has operated flawlessly since I bought it 1 month ago. Simple, easy to use controls..easy and quick set-up..reasonable price..a good value in my opinion.
