Brief and Educational

Quick and easy reading, Its fun to research some of the topics too. I feel a bit smarter every time I read it.

Good daily reading

Haven't finished it yet but I like the way it puts history in prospective. I know most have learned this in school and movies but this relates to the times better.

Good idea but economic devotionals lack balance

The authors have Karl Marx explain capitalism but there is not a word about Adam Smith and his great classic "Wealth of Nations". Not even in the very tiny print as far as I can tell. I only subtract one star, because I don't know if the exclusion of Adam Smith was intentional.

Nice daily info

My wife bought me the American History one for Christmas and I liked it enough that I bought this one. Nice review of a subject each day, and while you may know a lot about some day's topics, it usually includes something that you don't. Only one page for each day and some pearls at the bottom, but written in an easy-to-read prose. usually read it aloud at breakfast so the kids can enjoy it and it gives us something to talk about.

Bad condition of the book, good content

I ordered this book for my friend for Christmas and was a bit disappointed because of the condition of the book. It was old, with yellow pages and different size of pages (some of them were simply sticking out!).
The content is pretty good though they give you just the basics.
