Adequate but dishonest

We purchased this book based on the implication that it was authored by the M. Scott Peck MD that wrote "The Road Less Travelled" etc. After a couple of pages it was clear that we were tricked into the purchase. Although the content is useable, it is not worthy of the works by similiar named author. Felt more like someone else cashing in on the self help entrepreneural craze than what we were led to expect by the marketing and play on name confusion.

Not up to expectations.

I just gained so many ideas from this book, not just about my love-live, but about how to enhance relationships with my kids, co-workers and friends. I also now have faith that there will be love after divorce.

Forget all the rest...this is it!

This uplifting and practical book has changed my whole view of how to love my husband and cherish my own dreams for the "perfect marriage." I especially enjoyed the chapter on "Kindness + Honesty," which really hit me where it counts, and has even helped me to deal with personnel challenges at the office. I can't wait to read it again, chapter by chapter, together with my husband!

The author himself lives a very loving life, in short, he IS the message of this book, unlike so many relationship books where the author is not practicing what is being preached. He is speaking from experience of giving and receiving love after having suffered through a terrible first marriage. If you thought unconditional love was a myth, think again. Buy this book if you want happy relationships. You will be very impressed with how easy it can be.

Great guide to truly loving vs intellectualized exercises.

Reading this book illuminated what it means to truly love--without all the processes involved in psychoanalysizing. Love is here, love is simple, and Scott shows us. The ideas are not new. He's reminding us, simply, that we have it now. Isn't that great! I interviewed six individuals from different walks of life at different stages of relationshps for a profile/review of this book for a monthly publication. Everyone got at least one nugget from the book and since the interviews several months ago, all have advanced in relationships & status of relationships because of reading Scott's book. He's done a great service by sharing what has worked for him & how it can be proved for anyone. Looking forward to the next book from this loving and thought-provoking author.
