I bought my PS3 and I chose 7 games to buy according to reviews that I read in the internet. GRID is definitely the most fun, beautiful and "fast" of them. Songs are great, graphics are awesome. You just put the game and you are always playing with great cars, good courses. You start racing for teams that lend you their cars, so the first races you play with Porsche, Lamborghini, 350Z, etc... So you begin playing with fast, beautiful and competitive cars. The crashes are awesome. It is my kind of game, I really loved it, you feel the speed, it is very realistic, . The other games I bought are awesome too, but some of them have too much videos in between, you play 5 minutes and watch a 10 min video. Anyway, I strongly recommend it. Have fun!

Best racing game ever!

(reviewed by my 12 year old son) Most realistic racing I've seen; really like the flashback where you can correct your mistakes. There are a lot of cars to choose from. I like the way you can design your own team, naming it, putting on decals and sponsors. Would be more fun if there were flags.

Very realistic spot on precision

If you like arcade unrealistic gaming then this is not for you. On the other hand if you are into Gran Turismo style handling but a much more advanced visual effects and damage effects, then this game is definitely the go. Drifting is freaken awesome, spot on. I love this game the only downside that I can pick is the lack of variety of cars. Other than that this is a drivers game for sure.

Great graphics, diverse, FUN!... but where's the tilt steering option??

Most other reviewers have said all there needs to be said. It's basically DIRT but less in-depth and more arcade-y, and all on paved roads (coulda called it PAVEMENT, but I guess they wanted to keep with the four-letter scheme!). Would have wished for more noticeable variation in handling between the vehicles (it is definitely there, but they basically all feel like oversized go-karts... which is not necessarily an awful thing, go-karts are FUN), and ability to tune or purchase upgrades, but as has been stated many times already, this is basically a game for people that just want to jump in, strap down, feel the exhilaration of (simulated) speed, and RACE! (without having to worry about team management too much)

But the main reason I deducted any stars is for the total lack of support of the six-axis tilt-sensitive steering option that made games like F1 Championship Edition so innovative and great (and is the main reason I chose to buy a PS3 over the XBOX360).

Overall, though, GRID is a diverse, exciting, beautifully rendered game with a little something for every racing fan. Highly recommended!!

Lacks sufficient steering wheel support

The game itself really is excellent. Very competitive and could be lots of fun for this old geezer EXCEPT that my Logitec Pro steering wheel is not properly supported. Unlike, say, Gran Turisimo Prologue, the control over steering is no better than the joystick on the controller. Steering is gross and unhelpful. The problem is in the movement required, lock to lock; I'd guess it's 60 degrees. This makes steering totally unintuitive and gives no control. And there is no adjustment for the sensitivity. Just my 2 cents. But it sent me back to the admittedly less exciting, less competitive GT5. Do other wheels work better? (ie more like gt5)
