JT's the BEST!

I don't thing JT could come out with an album I didn't like. This one doesn't grab me the way October Road does but his music has a way of growing on you over time. I expect I'll like this one more and more over the years to come. For a JT fan, you've got to have it, along with every other CD he's ever done.

What's not to love about this enduring and masterful artist? His mellow voice, gentleness and kindness come through his music every time!!! "Covers" is a great compiliation of songs touched by his sensational voice. He will forever be our "Sweet Baby James" . . . don't miss out on this one!

James Taylor CD

I ordered this for my sister's birthday, and helped make her 67th a happy one! (I already had my own copy, which is terrific, of course.)

Taylor Takes a Step Back to Move Solidly Forward

After 40 years in the music business - and seeing any number of "revolutions" in the industry come and quickly go - James Taylor can release albums without the burden of style over substance.

Perhaps a more dependable singer than songwriter, he has forged a dynamic career on interpreting numbers as much as penning originals, which makes this album a winner. Without the use of the technological wonders of the studio, Taylor brings a "live" feel to the songs by recording them "live" with "live" musicians.

There is a fresh feel to the mix, as if one is sitting in a coffee shop on a Saturday afternoon and hearing the band perform. Taylor may have taken a step back in time for this release, but it shows the grand potential when artists/musicians actually play together...and from their hearts.

Pretty good ~

I've loved listening to James Taylor for years and this CD was pretty good. Wish it was "full length."
