Classy
Man this guy is so similar, not quite on the level but so close to reminding me on some of his tracks of the Great Late Marvin Gaye. I hope he continues to put out smooth classy music.
Love this follow up cd!
I was pleasantly surprised with the songs on this CD! Glad I purchased it. I listen to it almost every day!
Great voice, questionable song choices
I have been a Robin Thicke fan since he was just Thicke singing "When I Get You Alone" on a Sprite commercial, so I maybe somewhat biased. I love his voice. I like the album because it's soothing, but it was definitely not as good as his first or second album. I still enjoy listening to him sing regardless.

Something Else But THIS
I was really hoping that "
Something
Else
" would be much better than Robin Thick's last album. I love 1970s music as much as Robin does, but everything on the album sounds bland except for the track "Tie My Hands" with Lil Wayne. Robin Thicke's vocals are limited, and it's quite obvious in the song "Sidestep." Robin wants to be the white Marvin Gaye, but there's no way that'll happen. The song is good, but the problem is that Robin's voice is extremely flat and passionless. I stated that before when I did a review on "The Evolution of Robin Thicke". Someone like R. Kelly could've performed "Sidestep" and it would've went straight to #1. Why? Because R. Kelly has passion in his voice. Robin Thick sings just to be singing , he can't even vocally express emotions. In the song "The Sweetest Love", Robin decides he wants to be the white Stevie Wonder. Again, that isn't going to happen. Robin Thicke has no flavor and that's why he imitates other artists. Prince, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberfake- who's it going to be next? Another song on the album "Dreamworld" almost made me fall sleep and enter my own dream world. Other than that, "Cry No More" "Magic""The Sweetest Love" and "Tie My Hands" are pretty okay songs, but overall this album is boring and forgetable. Next time Robin should step his game by getting a vocal coach and a hip producer.

Not as good as the last
I love Robin Thicke, but the The Evolution was a classic and it had way more tracks on it. I hate when artist create albums with less than 15 songs on it, because chances are that I'm only going to like half of the songs, which brings down the my rating of the album. If you put more songs on the albums I would have more songs to choose from and it will bring my rating up. If you have 12 songs on the album atleast 8-9 of the tracks have to be fire! Overall, it's still a good quality album, but if you comparing it to The Evolution don't get your hopes up.
