Grew On Me
I bought this CD because Beg For Mercy was so great. I wasn't taken with 'I Like The Way She Do It', and did not expect a lot from this CD, but I was willing to give G Unit one more chance. I am glad I did. The sound is completely different from Beg For Mercy, and I say that as a compliment. I was hoping 50 had more than one trick up his sleeve, and that his music would grow over time, and it has. I like the 'heavy', almost dark sound. My favorite cuts are Straight Outta Southside, Piano Man, Rider Pt 2, and I Don't Wanna Talk About It. I am sorry Young Buck is no longer a member. I like his sound second only to 50. This CD probably deserves 4 and a half stars, but I will settle for 5.

SSSAAAAIIIIIICCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!
T.O.S. is the top rap album of the summer. The unit hasn't lost anything. They are hotter than ever and this album brings that summer fire! They have a few smoov flows but also of course that GRIME. Although the whole buck situation sux, 50, Banks, and of course YAYO still do it without him.
top songs: straight outta southside, rider pt. 2, way she do it

3.5 Stars T.O.S. - East Coast/Hard Core to the fullest
You gotta admire Fif', the money, the fame, the power have not changed him. When he came out he was a gangsta rapper and if you listen to T.O.S. you get nothing but that raw gangsta rap. Its like nobody told him that gangsta rap ain't hitting no more and that once you sell 10 million you can't be rapping about gun totting and knife games. Its like he ain't heard Fat Joe when he advised that East Coast artists should switch to "Southpaw". Its like he's never heard of Kanye West, Timbaland, Polow Da Don, DJ Toomp cause he's still messing with relatively unknown producers. Its like no body told him about soul samples, Lil' Wayne collabos and R&B singers on hooks.
NO!!! On here Fif', Lloyd Banks & Tony Yayo put the G back in G-Unit and if you are into the sophisticated stylings of Kanye West, Jay-Z or Nas then you need not apply. If you are into that chorus/bass heavy southern anthems of T.I., Young Jeezy, Lil' Wayne or Rick Ross then stay away from this album.
Its not to say that there is nothing in here for the clubs cause "Party Ain't Over", "Kitty Kat" & "I Like The Way She Do It" are definite party starters and work well too despite the less than entralling choruses.
The rest of the album is drugs & guns and song for song it sounds good mainly because of the chemistry between them. Sharing MIC time means you never get tired of any of them, in fact Yayo has never sounded so interesting. 50 also takes it back to his ealry days, replacing the smooth lyrics with hardcore/east coast braggadacio. But if there is a downfall its in the fact that nothing noteworthy actually happens during the 60 minuter. No Al Sharpton disses, nothing condemning police brutality, nothing about Bush, Iraq, nothing about what's going on with the G-Unit camp. Moreover there aren't any concept tracks or stories. Its entertaining but well short of a classic
