Heart-warmingly Funny

This book is as inspiring as it is touching. Grogan's articles are funny, witty, and entertaining to read. If you're from Philadelphia or a Philly suburb, it's nice to hear the familiar names of the area and Grogan's personal tales that originate from there. I was brought to tears a few times out of the heart-warming stories, especially about Marley. The book delivers exactly what the title promises: articles about family, animals, and life. He delivers the stories in a way that leaves you wanting more. It is wonderful to read Grogan's articles from the past few years; he easily transitions from current events to personal experiences and moves the reader in every paragraph.

I would recommend Bad Dogs Have More Fun to everyone I know; telling them that if they're looking for a stirring, funny, and clever book about the lessons and trials of life, they won't be disappointed.

Did I Miss Something?

Read the title. You assume this book contains stories about dogs; something along the line of Grogan's "Marley & Me". Right? Well, only a few pages have any dog stories . . . the rest is assorted musings from Grogan's old days at the Philadelphia Inquirer.

If you want to read a compilation of John's old newspaper columns, then this is an excellent book. If you're wanting dog stories or something similar to "Marley & Me", then skip it.
