Very powerful hand calculator for math and science

I bought this calculator as a replacement for my classic model 15C that I bought back in the early '80s. I lost that calculator in my latest move. The last time I used it, it performed like new. HP calculators have well-earned reputation for quality and durability.

I am a big fan of Reverse Polish Notation; so for me an HP calculator is a must.

I just wrote my first program on this new calculator (solve the Quadratic Formula - including the handling of possible complex roots). This calculator is clearly the most powerful I have ever used. It is loaded with math, science and statistical functions. The available storage for variables and program memory is massive (for a calculator.)

A feature I would like to see is some sort of universal connectivity with a computer (to make it easy to print out my program.) It appears that some of higher-end and higher-priced HP calculators have this feature.

But there comes a point in development when a hand-calculator quits being a calculator and starts being a laptop computer - which defeats the usefulness of a hand-calculator.

I'm very happy with this calculator.

Highly recommended.

good value

For the money, this is a great calculator. There are two negatives in my opinion. The first is clearing the register. When I am ready to clear, I would prefer not to be asked if I'm sure because this takes extra key strokes and is an annoyance. Also, I would be will to pay a little extra for matrix features. Beyond these two items, this calculator is great and much, much better laid out than the 33c.

HP 35s

Comparable to the HP 32s II. HP quality evident although the LCD screen still needs to have a somewhat higher resoultion.

HP 35s Scientific Calculator

I wasn't used to the double screen format, but this was the only one that was allowed for the Washington State Civil Engineering Professional Engineer license exam. It's a very nice calculator but takes a little getting used to. Now I use it exclusively for my work.

Very good calculator

I purchased this calculator to replace my aging HP 41CV. In a lot of ways, it does just fine. I really like having the ENTER key where it has been on previous HP calculators. The layout of the functions seems to make good sense. My only complaint is the lack of multi-letter alpha-numeric input. This limits your input and output prompts to one-letter labels. This is a step back from what the good HP calculators used to have - too bad.

But it's good, small, light, not too expensive. I like it better than the HP 33s.
