Lawnboy 10685

Unlike some reviewers, my Lawn boy arrive in the box by Fedex ready to go. Just had to add oil and gas. Ordered on Saturday and received shortly after noon on the following Tuesday. Use of the mower is as easy as promised. I noticed Amazon dropped the price by $20 since I ordered it which was less that a week ago. Some parts seem cheaply made (such as the height adjustment levers which are plastic rather than metal as in my previous 10-year old Craftsman lawnmower) so only time will tell if this one will last as long as the Craftsman. With all it's adjustment features and ease of use, this is a good lawnmower for women and priced reasonably from Amazon. I wanted a cordless electric lawnmower that is self propelled, but that doesn't appear to be available. Perhaps they will be available by the time I'm ready for my next lawnmower! In the meantime, I highly recommend the Lawnboy 10685.

Very Satisified

I bought this one because I really liked the features I couldn't find on any other mower. The ease of bag removal,great handle storage and the sens-a-speed. All have proven to be fantastic. Started right up and I was off and mowing. The shipping speed was amazing... I had it within three days of ordering. You won't go wrong with this one.

Lawnboy Selfpropelled Mower

As other reviewers said, it's easy to start and to use. It does adjust to the speed you want to walk. And though it sounded heavy, it's much lighter than the Sears Craftsman I had before.
I'm not super strong, and find the rear wheels difficult to adjust for height, but at least it has better handles than my previous mower.
The one glitch was that it wasn't fully assembled, and the part that wasn't attached didn't have a detailed drawing in the manual, but luckily for me, I had a patient neighbor that psyched it out.
Overall, I'm pleased.

Great mower for the price

I used this mower only once for now, but was impressed by the ease of use.
This is my first self propelled mower, and the sense a speed function was great. You never fight the propelling function; it just follows you, stops when you stop, starts when you move, effortlessly.
Both my sons were excited to try it (14 and 12) and they could use this machine very easily, even though they had problems on our slope with our previous non propelled mower.
Very happy so far!

Doesn't keep pace!

Great shipping-3days. Sens-a-speed function does not perform well(have to exert too much effort to make mower move,by the time I finished mowing the lawn I felt I was using a push mower). My husband made the cable adjustment as per owners manual, didn't make much of an improvement till he had finally taken all the slack out of the cable-should be 1/8" of slack. Still seams you have to push too hard for a self propelled mower. Next alternative,take a new lawn mower in for service. Not what I expected.
