Great little coffee maker

My husband doesn't drink coffee, and this little french press takes all the guesswork out of making a cup for just one person. It's also easy to take apart to clean; over time trapped oils can negate even the best coffee, so this is a really handy feature.

Coffee Richness for One

The richness of press coffee is in the thickness. That's right, coffee
made with a coffee press is fuller in body that coffee made
with a filter drip system. The extra body comes from the
tiny particles of solid coffee that pass through the press'
screen and remain behind in your cup. You can see some
evidence of them in the sludge that may settle out in your
cup.
This richer mouth-feel makes for a more luxurious experience
of coffee drinking. The first time I had coffee from one of the
these, I put my automatic drip pot away for good. It's true that
you have to actually boil the water and then pour it over the
grounds, but if you're enough of a grown-up to drink coffee
I think you'll be able to handle it.

I have seen several other makes of coffee press and bodum is
by far the most satisfying to use. This little model is good for the

Coffee Lover's Best Friend

I got this coffee press to take with me to college. It's a great space-saver and doesn't require a ton of cleaning. You get a lot more flavor out of this press than you do with regular drips. I prefer a medium French roasted arabica (kona's one of my favorites), mostly because the super dark roasts tend to lose the regional flavors of the beans. It makes a perfect single-person serving of the silkiest, most flavorful home-brewed coffee you will ever taste. As with all coffee, you get better results with fresh-roasted and ground beans--especially if you invest in a good quality coffee grinder. But even without the hundreds of dollars of equipment needed to achieve a good grind, this twenty dollar gadget makes an awesome cup of coffee. You might want to shop around a little more, though. I've seen it sell for 10-15$ at various coffee shops.

1 cup not 3

I like this product because it does make a good cup of coffee. But unless you drink from a shot-glass don't count on getting three cups out of it. I get one nice cup.

Smaller than expected

I really like the taste of the coffee made with my press, it is a better way to make coffee that the standard coffee maker, however if I had a do-over I would have purchased the larger press. It says it makes three cups but it ends up making being the equivalent of one of my cups, so I usually have to make two batches.
