Buying it is only half the job

Quicken Willmaker Plus 2008 seems to be a very thorough answer for doing it yourself estate planning. The CD has all the forms a person would ever need, even forms beyond estate planning. The book seems to cover in detail all aspects of estate planning for the do-it-yourselfer.
But lets face it, buying a great product like this isn't going to get the job done. My book has been sitting on my dresser for a month. I hate the thought of paying a lawyer some outrageous fee, so I bought the book. It's a fine product. Now I need an extra jolt of motivation to get my butt in gear.
Bottom line: the product is probably the best, excellent quality, price. But it is not the weak link here, we, you and me, are the big question.

Could not be happier

I bought the 2008 version from Amazon and I could not be happier. The book is written at a perfect level for my situation and taught me a great deal about not only wills but also final arrangements and powers of attorney. Anyone who has used Turbotax will be familiar with the sequential screens the software uses to prompt for information while explaining each step. I don't know why anyone would buy the software alone for $13 more than this combo of book and software for $31. The 556 page book is a really nice bonus.

Quicken Willmaker Plus Has the Goods

If you are even thinking about preparing a will, you must get this book. It has a wealth of information, plus it has the software you need to prepare the will as an added bonus. You get all this at a relatively low price. It will not help you if you are considering a living trust, but going through the process of preparing a will gives you all you need for a trust. I suggest you see an experienced attorney for that. However, for a will, nothing beats this book/software combo.
